Jake Conkling
Jake is the owner of Spencerport Insurance Agency. He purchased the agency in 2016. Prior to taking over the agency, Jake was a Marketing Representative for New York Central Mutual Insurance Company for 16 years. Part of Jakes job with NYCM was to visit Independent Insurance Agencies all over the Western New York Area. He developed a great overall sense of how an agency works at this time by working hand in hand with many local agents. He grew interested in becoming an agency owner and in 2016 a wonderful opportunity became available and he purchased the Spencerport Insurance Agency.
He remembers when he was younger watching a close family member lose his house in a fire which caused a total loss. Watching someone he loved go through such a tragedy, then not having the correct coverage inspired him to do a better job for people when it comes to their insurance. When there is a loss Jake does not want someone else to have inadequate coverage. Its important to know what you have for coverage.
Jake is very appreciative of the great staff he has assembled for his agency. Each employee is licensed and customer focused so you have a great experience at his agency. He is very proud of the job they do and clearly knows that they are a huge part of his success.
Jake is a husband and father and is grateful for his family every day. He finds Spencerport to be a truly unique town. People in Spencerport are filled with a great sense of pride in their community and businesses, the Village and Canal are something to be truly proud of. Jake is heavily involved in the Spencerport Community, he participates in the Spencerport Rotary activities as well as being involved in the schools and business community here in Spencerport. Jake also enjoys working with the Spencerport Chamber of Commerce alongside other business owners and leaders to promote growth in our community. Jake loves to bring insurance smiles and enlightenment to the new generation and has often done classes for Seniors at the local high school to help them understand what a big part insurance is in all our lives. In Jake’s spare time he enjoys a local campground in the summer with his family, they are avid campers. In the Fall and Winter he enjoys hiking and skiing with family.
